Democracy for Cincinnati February 6 Meeting (7 pm)

Ben & Jerry's Clifton Heights 214 Calhoun Street Cincinnati, OH 45219 US Phone: 513-861-8555

We’ll ‘take over’ the fireplace area for this meeting at a nicely progressive joint. I know this will be hard for those of you who plan to give up sweets for Lent, but they offer less sinful fruit smoothies and are also a coffee shop serving Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR provides only the finest fair trade/organic coffees in the world) as well as homemade muffins, soups, salads, and gourmet sandwiches.

Our agenda includes working on plans for the May 10-11 DFA Training and having a lively discussion about the Super Tuesday results. Please join us! Free DFA buttons for all who attend! -- Lynn Worpenberg Co-Chair, Democracy for Cincinnati 513-604-9210

Based on review of exits it looks like Hillary is holding her own by dominating old white people.  If Obama does not win (which I hope he will in the long run) there will be a lot of disapointed young people with old Clinton machine.

Bad Exits?

I'm told that in one newsroom, "there were four sets of exits on Massachusetts, two showing Obama ahead and two showing Clinton ahead."

Hmmm. Even more caution than usual, folks, even more caution than usual.

HORSERACE

Big Deviations From Early Exit Poll Numbers?

A reader notes that the early exit poll numbers had Romney winning Delaware, by a considerable margin, and it's being called for McCain, and asks, does this mean all the exits are no good?

Short answer is, I don't know. I don't know if the samples were too small, or if the exit pollsters haven't had to pay attention to Delaware in so long that they take their samples from the right areas. This is why I suggest a certain level of caution and skepticism when I post them.

So sad for Mark Pera. Lipinski's office is in mom's (my old) neighborhood. He has the senior citizens under his thumb but mom talked up Pera at the Senior Center yesterday. But she took a ride to the polls (and the grocery store) today from a Lipinski worker - LMAO

This week has brought back so many vivid memories of 40 years ago.RFK in Columbus, NE inspiring a generation from the back of a train. Three High School sophomores going to Omaha in my 37 Chevy to see Uncle Jerrry and Phil, and the band play for free. It took a couple days to get home from that, but, in a larger sense, one never does quite come home from a Grateful Dead Concert.

NextPres. Obama coming to Nebraska Thursday. We roll out our bright shiny new caucuses Saturday. Just got call from DNC asking for renewal. Will send after convention, regardless of winner, just because the chairman is one of my favorite people. Asked DNC to send lawyers, guns, and money our way, along w/ a barrel of blue paint.

On delegates, Obama will have a good night. Because he will come close to clinton, after being behind so far just a month ago.

But what states is he winning that weren't predicted? It seems pretty predictable so far. Clinton won NJ.

If you looked at the polls 7 days ago it is incredible how much ground Obama has picked up in only seven days.  It will be pretty close to a split tonight, this is good for Obama:

-          - Obama has a lot more money

-          - The states now come slower and the more time Obama has the better he does

LOL. Yeah, Pera was one of two hopes to unseat a DINO incumbent. He was a good candidate, but the machine might be too good (and corrupt) there. Looking for Donna Edwards to win in MD next week.

26. Yea! Idaho! You know one thing they were talking about on CSPAN how people favored Paul, no maybe Huckabee, no maybe Obama, which on the face of it sounds like they haven't really studied -- but maybe it's something else -- that they want just something different, anything different. Is it a libertarian bent maybe? I must say Huckabee and Paul -- from a persona point of view -- appeal to me.

I think Barack will win the following (some already called for him)

IL, GA, AL, MN, DE, ID, UT, KS, CT, MN and UT

I'm not feeling confident about the West per the pundits. If she's getting 61% of the Latino vote...

Y'all are prolly right about CA -- the pundits are very Hillary glowy -- they know something we don't. Pollster in CSPAN just said something about the MO exit polls being wrong. Every time they say that I think Diebold hacking. Susan Swain asking callers 'what is your most important issue.' Which gave me to think about mine. I think maybe it's civil liberties and restoring the Constitution. What is you folks 'most important issue.' I hate to say this but I kinda think it's over and it's Hillary. But you know he has taken a lot of states -- we'll have to see the delegate count.

Amen......how about Obama winning CT!  exit polls suggest that he looks good in Arizona and New Mexico.  Clinton cleans up in 2/3 states in the metro New York City.

Clinton is the wrong person against McCain.  She unifies the right.
