Al Gore wants you to host a Inconvenient Truth showing
Here is an email I received from Move-on. I am forwarding this because I can not host a party but would attend one.
My apt is in transition and along with boxes and mess everywhere, I do not have the seating. Any way, if someone wants to do this just go sign up. Move-on will send the invitations etc...

Dear MoveOn member,
Yesterday on the Oprah Winfrey Show Al Gore called for thousands of house parties across the nation on global warming. He's working with us to make it happen. An Inconvenient Truth may be our best chance in years to demonstrate how serious the problem is—and to push Congress toward real solutions.
Next Saturday we're going to get together in living rooms all over the country, watch the film on DVD, have a national conference call to discuss next steps, and start seriously mobilizing people. We'll even get a chance to talk to Al Gore and ask him questions.
Can you host a screening in Clarks Summit on Saturday, December 16th? Click below to get started.

Hosting a screening is really easy. All you have to do is register your party at the link above, and we'll help you out with the rest. We'll invite other MoveOn members in your area and together, we'll take action to stop global warming by pressing Congress for solutions.
We're not organizing these screenings alone. Lots of groups—from the Sierra Club to the League of Conservation Voters—are coming together to make this a big splash. This may be the biggest movement-wide house party effort we've been part of.
The Inconvenient Truth DVD sold more than a million copies in its first week. That's no surprise—when the film came out in theaters earlier this spring, MoveOn members across the country loved it. Here's what some of them had to say:
"Get out there to see it immediately—there is no time to waste! Everyone in this planet should go see this movie—and then DO SOMETHING about it! Great, great film done in a great, great way."—Carol G., Venice, CA
"Even if you already have taken steps to help ease global warming, you plan your strategy to further do your part...and you can't wait to get started. Al Gore illustrates how one's strong desire to do something becomes a must."—Rachel G., Brooklyn, NY
We've elected a Democratic Congress, the next step is to make sure they do the right thing. If we can organize thousands of parties and thousands of us sign up and attend, we'll send a clear message to Washington: Now is the time to act on climate change.
Can you help make this happen?
