Attend Forum on Religion and Politics on October 3!

Dear Member,

A few months ago we discussed whether a productive forum on religion and politics could be held in Lincoln Nebraska. The group, Lincoln Community Forum, grew out of that meeting, and our next meetup will unofficially meet at the religion and politics forum that they organized - 7pm October 3rd (St Mark's on Campus).

The format is intriguing... Four questions will be printed on the program and anyone can have up to 90 seconds to address each question as it comes up. Clinton recently identified what he considered to be "the biggest problem confronting the world". It was "the illusion that our differences matter more than our common humanity". Perhaps we'll prove that on Tuesday.

I'm working on two projects this month. I hope to show the movies, "Iraq for Sale" (http://iraqforsale.or...) and "9/11 Press for Truth" (http://www.cooperativ...) before the election. I also plan to create / post a series of issues related posters that encourage people to vote using the tag line, "Had Enough?". If anyone would like to join me in either of these efforts, please let me know.

Finally, I would be remiss if I were not to remind you that Arianna Huffington (proprietor of HuffingtonPost.com and author of "Becoming Fearless") will speak Monday night at the Lied Center as part of this week's "1984 Symposium" at UNL. Also, progressive candidates need your support.
