SC Democratic Party Progressive Caucus Convention, June 24

The SC Democratic Party Progressive Caucus is holding its annual convention from 1-5 PM, June 24, at the State Democratic Party Hq., 1529 Hampton St., Columbia.

We are South Carolina Democrats who believe that the Party must promote and uphold traditional Democratic values to win elections. We will elect officers, decide on an endorsement process for progressive Democrats and conduct other business.
"The mission of the Progressive Caucus of the South Carolina Democratic Party is to insure that our Party follows through on the commitment to its core values of democratic inclusion and equality, and to make sure that the candidates and positions of our Party represent the interests of the citizens of our state; regardless of their income, race, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, or abilities,
The Progressive Caucus is committed to recruiting and supporting progressive candidates and broadening the base of our Party by reaching out to the majority of our state's citizens who do not participate in the political process, and to reducing the influence of money on politics."
