The immigration debate...

I got into a conversation with someone who said there was a huge difference from the immigration of other nationals today and the big migration that brought so many to North America at the start of industrialism. There is no major difference. It's just now we are allowing fascism to be hateful. It's a bit sad, because I think Americans are following the path of the Nazi's and allowing their hate and fear take over. This country was created on the base of immigrants. When the Irish left their country based on the potato famine, they left their country to discover the bounty of America. It's funny that we so loosely claim America for all the immigrants of the past but not the present, when we clearly deny this country was stolen from Native Americans, the Indian nations. The Nazi rhetoric was convincing at one point as well, creating a divisive issue, but not really bringing the country forward. We are following the Nazi footprint. "Americans" are being very complacent if they do not stand up for the rights of the weakest in it's nation. And if a culture within American society wishes to pay homage to it's original decadency, that is great, it does not diminish their "Americanism." We all should look at ourselves and wonder why labeling one group is at all permissible? Where does it stop? Hate only grows unless you put a stop to it, put a stop to the fear or it will gain momentum, and spread to other groups. Don't allow your fear and hate spread, even if it's a group you do not understand. You are a minority, as is everyone in this great country. Your ancestors were not considered terrorist because they came to rape the infrastructure of a growing United States, they were included and supported. This is what should be done now. Inclusion and support, we are Americans and we stand up for the rights of all. WE ARE ALL AMERICANS.
