Dennis Kucinich 4 President

Written by: Louise Friedman on Oct 8, 2007 3:13 PM EDT

Linked to groups: DFA-Link Organizers

  • Dennis will bring the troops home within 3 months of taking office
  • He stands for National Healthcare and Education
  • He's for Human Rights for EVERYONE - no exceptions
  • Dennis voted against the Iraq Invasion from the very beginning
  • He is beholden only to WE THE PEOPLE - not to powerful lobbies and special interest groups that have helped the campaigns of Clinton, Obama and Edwards
  • Clinton, Obama and Edwards stated that they support the plan to remain in Iraq until 2013 - ARE THEY KIDDING ME????
  • He's firm on women's rights and gay/lesbian rights

Yes, he's an egghead; just like Adlai Stevenson was.  That was an opportunity missed by America - let's not make the same mistake again.

VOTE FOR DENNIS KUCINICH - THE FATE OF OUR COUNTRY, OUR DEMOCRACY, THE CONSTITUTION AND OUR POSITION IN THE WORLD AT LARGE HAVE NEVER BEEN IN SUCH JEOPARDY.  BUSH HAS BROUGHT US TO THE VERY BRINK AND A MAN LIKE DENNIS IS JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED!

mprov thanks for the report

I'm chairing our platform committee again this cycle and we voted at our meeting to have a District website and one thing it will do is link to all of the county platforms which get formed bottom up from the caucus resolutions process

The thing Iowa implemented which I think other states could copy is a prioritization vote at the state convention, and all of the Presidential candidates are at least familiar with our priorities.

what I am hoping to one day accomplish is a white paper wiki behind each resolution that explains the concept in detail as the platform itself is heavily edited to be provided by the group or individual that started the process pre caucus

paine

you pictured an unlikely voter, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to get that hunter to point that thing up in the air or down toward the ground

that gun looks a little too loaded and the finger a little too close to the trigger

hunter safety classes for all!

Obama is running that $800 million ad here, and I agree effective.

Our party sends messages to the grassroots, netroots, liberals, activists who speak with emotion.   It tells them to hush.

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/madfloridian/1595

This part, by David Brooks was posted on the front page of the DLC in September. It tells you exactly what that group thinks of us.

".."The fact is, many Democratic politicians privately detest the netroots' self-righteousness and bullying. They also know their party has a historic opportunity to pick up disaffected Republicans and moderates, so long as they don't blow it by drifting into cuckoo land. They also know that a Democratic president is going to face challenges from Iran and elsewhere that are going to require hard-line, hawkish responses."

Hey, David and the DLC tell us what you really think.

We need to attract voters like this:

We need to stick to our own principles and let those who agree with them vote with us.

Trying to attract right wing nuts only loses sane voters for Democrats.

So the DLC has gone from speaking like Republicans to having Republicans speak for them. It was the natural progression, I suppose.

Up and  down range.  You are right, Phil.  Kinda looks like me when I first shot a  shotgun - at a tree.

All I can say is,

thank god for my dad and grandfather (so I hear) being born Democrats

and Sgt Major Juan Garcia teaching me (and all the others) what the Army taught him to teach.

Safety is first, so you did very well.

IDENTIFYING GORE HATERS (posted at democratic underground)It's disguised as many things.

Version 1 - the MSM Brainwash:
Al Gore is never running because MSM says so, don't waste your time

Version 2 - the 'Real' Candidate:
Supporting Al Gore takes away from some 'real' candidate who needs your vote and cash.

Version 3 - the Hillary Switcharoo:
I love Al Gore, but he's not running, so vote Hillary!

Version 4 - the Hillary Ultimatum:
Even if Al does run, He will lose to Hillary

Version 5 - the Restore Gore Especial:
Supporting Al Gore as President actually damages his campaign to curb Global Warming. So quit trying to kill the Earth and leave Al alone, he's my friend!

There are so many more. Enjoy all the flavors!

18. Suzanne, thank you.

Yep, the DLC is hard at work putting out the NeoCon style talking points.

...just like them trying to tell everyone..."the Democrats are happy with their choices"....NOT! But they aren't reporting those numbers, are they?

=2/3 Iowa voters UNDECIDED.

I'm going to email goregal that posted those 2 incredible videos on current.com to ask her to upload them.

Volney, pinoscal, phil, puddle et al...great stuff.

Puddle, I emailed jc's link out just the other night. I still have the business cards I made up of her website. She's smiling knowing the great help she's been.

From the ashes of 2004, a cautious Dean emerges Leads Democrats in near obscurity

By Jeff Zeleny, New York Times News Service  |  October 21, 2007

ST. PAUL - There has never been a Democratic national chairman with as much firsthand knowledge about running for president as Howard Dean.

Four years ago, at this stage in the race, he was flying high. Now, Dean is being sued by Democrats in Florida and second-guessed over how he is spending the party's money. He seldom receives so much as a call seeking advice from this year's candidates.

The rise and abrupt fall of his campaign now seems to hold lessons for some of the current contenders, from what it means to assume an air of inevitability to the dangers of counting on grass-roots energy to translate into votes. But Dean also sees ways in which the field has adopted elements of his candidacy, like its strong opposition to the war in Iraq.

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Presidential candidate Christopher Dodd spent yesterday with two New Hampshire Democrats who illustrate what he hopes to pull off: a surprise win against a presumptive nominee.

Though she hasn't endorsed a presidential candidate, US Representative Carol Shea-Porter joined the Connecticut senator at his New Hampshire headquarters to urge antiwar activists to spend the day making phone calls, writing postcards, and knocking on doors to pressure the president and Congress to remove American troops from Iraq.

You know, "catapulting the propaganda" is a very good phrase.  It's what we need to practice.

BTW, it was the grass roots steering committee that insisted on a day of action and framed the event.  And it came off splendidly.  Obama and Edwards and Clinton had people holding signs on the street corner.  Dodd had a reception by the IAFF inside the convention center.  Even if most of the 1000 Democrats that came for the dinner didn't come early for the reception, I'm sure they heard all about it from those who did.  Patrick Kennedy came up from Rhode Island for it.

Is Al Gore running yet? And if not, why the hell not?
