DFLI Meeting on October 4th/Mejias Request

Hello folks. Calling all individuals interested in making a difference this election cycle. DFLI is focusing on three major actionable agenda items this Wednesday, October 4th at 7pm at the Nassau County Democratic Headquarters, One Old Country Road, Suite 430 Mineola (1 mile west of the Meadowbrook Parkway) We are recruiting old and new members of DFLI to put feet on the pavement and get active in the following three issues:

1. Mejias Campaign (fighting Rep. Peter King in the 3rd CD,

2. Getting invovled in verified voting in to make sure that NY has secure voting machines with a paper trail and

3. Setting up a healthcare forum to engage our community with a discusion on solutions for this costly dilemma.

Dear DFLI members,

At the end of our September DFLI meetup a lot of the DFLI Eastern LI members said you wanted to help in the Mejias campaign. Now is the time. As the point person for the Mejias campaign I need your help to:

1. Flood the "Chain Gang" via email strongly requesting their help. The message's theme is Please send the Chain Gang to the 3rd Congressional District. Send your email to bill@backbonecampaign.org.

2. I need your help putting together press releases, letters to the editor, phone calls (after a quick training session at Mejias headquarters in Farmingdale and you can make calls from home), etc.
