A watershed campaign season is getting started and it is activists like you who can make the greatest difference in keeping Michigan blue and moving the country toward progressive policies. But are you wondering how and when to get involved? Are you having trouble finding out what's happening where? Do you need information on candidates or a way to contact their campaign?

The Progressive Connection has just published a new page of information for volunteers on Campaign 2006: the Democratic Primaries in Mid Michigan.

Check it out and see how quickly you can identify the races and campaigns that mean the most to you and get in touch with them.

Also, please be aware of our new Online Calendar - the only comprehensive posting of Democratic and progressive events in Mid Michigan.

Whether you are scheduling an event or looking for the next thing you want to do, the Online Calendar can be a big help. Check it frequently.

You can also subscribe to LPC-A "Local Activity" to get early notice of local events and breaking news on local campaigns. Email subscription requests to:

Listminder@lapn.net

Please send local event notices to LPC-A@lapn.net (subscribers only) or to Calendar@lapn.net. Information on Michigan policy and politics, ballot proposals, or other kinds of political campaign or activity are also welcome.

Thanks for helping us grow the network. The more people who participate in some way in the Progressive Connection, the more help it will be to everyone.
