DFA 1.0's Joe Rospars featured in analysis of the Obama online success

The Washington post has a great article on the gorund game and fundraising of the Obama campaign organized thru the internet. The 13 Million addys for the Obama campaign outshines considerably the 600,000 of the Dean campaign, but Joe Rospars was instrumental in both. Congratulations Joe!

While the Missouri vote is still out (Obama down 4968 votes with 7000 provisional ballots left to count) we do have a winner, and he has wasted no time in fulfilling his promise of open government.

Its GOTV time!

Hardly a need to remind DFA folks that GOTV is in full swing with phone banking and canvassing action up and down the ticket. Barack Obama is neck and neck with McCain in Missouri. This is our chance to turn Missouri Blue with a massive turnout.

This Wednesday is the usual DFAlink meeting time and will provide a great opportunity to celebrate the results, plan for the future and to do a "Plus/Delta" on the campaign. Have fun at the watch parties Tuesday evening and I hope you can come out on Wednesday.

Time for me to now  go knock on doors in Fulton MO.

Democracy for Missorui conducted the last of three Primary Candidate Forums last evening...this time in Fulton MO. Despite steady rain all day...we had a fair turnout and really good coverage in the local paper.

Here it is as reported on our Democracy for Missouri website where there is a link to the Fulton Sun front page coverage. They give a nod to Democracy for America, but save most of the ink for debate issues.

Judy Baker wins Emily's list support

Written by: William Monroe on Jun 22, 2008 12:47 PM EDT

Linked to groups: DFA Columbia, Missouri DFA

Rep Judy Baker has been very supportive of DFA Columbia. She has spoken at our events and helped with our State DFA Convention and the DFA Training Academy held in Columbia in April 07. She has just won the support of Emily's List in her quest to take the 9th Congressional District back from the Republicans.

Because this is a Federal Election, Democracy for Missouri which is a State Continuing Committee, can not have a dog in the fight.  However, if you would like to get a more complete understanding of why this important national group, Emily's List, is supporting her, check out her website:

http://judybakerforcongress.com/

Congratulations Judy!
