Democracy For America

Member,

Governor Howard Dean said it best when he said "you have the power." This is more true today then it was in the months before the 2004 election. 2004 was the most important election in our lifetime and we barely lost.

Now 2006 is the most important as we work to set a new direction for America. Ultimately, what happens in November will depend not on the political winds, Republican scandals or television ads.

Victory in November depends on what we do in our neighborhoods from now until Nov 7th. To that end, we have postponed our monthly meetings until December to allow our hard working activists the most time in the field.

If you haven't had a change to work for democracy yet, please send me an email and we will find you an opportunity.

Many thanks,
Bernie

Member,

America is looking for a new direction and Democrats are ready to show that there is a real choice.

Join us at the Dallas Congressional Forum* on June 7th and introduce your friends and neighbors to three amazing candidates for Congress: Dan Dodd (TX 3rd Congressional District) Charlie Thompson (TX 5th Congressional District), and Will Pryor (TX 32nd Congressional District).

Hearing from our candidates is the best way for unengaged voters to learn about our Democratic values, get intimate with candidates and change hearts and minds. Let's make it count!

RSVP: www.dfalink.com/event.php?id=854...

Our candidates for The United States Congress will outline their plans for some of the most important issues facing the Congress and the United States including Healthcare, The Federal Marriage Amendment, corruption, an exit strategy for Iraq, and much more!

Bring friends, family and neighbors to show that there is an alternative to the Bush Way.

Dan Dodd is a graduate of West Point, was career Air Force and has an extensive Military History including two consecutive tours in Viet Nam. He has worked in the private sector in both Telecommunications and Aerospace.

Will Pryor is a former state district judge (298th District Court, Dallas County, and a former First Assistant Attorney General of the State of Texas. Will is a mediator and arbitrator who has twice been recognized as one of the "Best Lawyers in Dallas", and three times named a "Texas Super Lawyer".

Charlie Thompson is a retired Naval officer, a businessman, who has spent most of his adult life in the uniform of his country, defending Americans and the freedom our Constitution promises every citizen. As a professional community and economic developer, Charlie has been just as dedicated to seeing that the concerns of all Texans are addressed.
