If you are receiving this email, you are on our dfa-link group. For the time being, we are still using the old meetup.com site to plan events. We will be moving to DFA-Link in the next couple of months.

Here are the details of the next meeting and a link:

2004 was the most important election in our lifetime. We worked hard but we didn't quite make it. This makes 2006 the most important election yet and the winds are blowing our way.

In January, we will prepare for the year head.

Building on a national action plan from DFA, join us at the Dallas Public Library breakout room (next to the auditorium) for a planning and work session to develop our own year long action plan to help take our country back.

Agenda:
1) Welcome and Introduction **
2) Orientation to the meeting's goals
3) Breakout and planning
4) Next steps and wrap up

Possible Initiatives:
> Think Precinct! - continuing last year's effort to train activists and build effective precinct level organizations (over 100 precinct chairs trained)
> Candidate forums - helping our candidates to get much need attention from the public and media
> CAT (Campaign Assistance Teams) - building 5 person teams to provide assistance to campaigns
> Primary Election assistance - helping the Dallas County Democratic Party execute an organized primary election

** Our regular meetings will strive to be highly action oriented with specific goals and planning. Please arrive on time or early.

Phonebanking, LTE's, working from distance

Hi,

I vote in this district as an overseas voter (I live in France). There are many of us who would like to help to take back our Congress in 2006. How can we help from a distance?

Thanks, Moving forward,
Anna Marie
