Iraq for Sale - Screening on Oct 16th on October 16!

DFA Evanston North Shore welcomes one and all for it's free screening of the new film, Iraq for Sale: the War Profiteers at its meeting on October 16th.

This newest production by Robert Greenwald, creator of Walmart: The High Cost of Low Price , takes you inside the lives of soldiers, truck drivers, widows and children, whose lives have been changed forever as a result of profiteering in the reconstruction of Iraq. The film uncovers the connections between private corporations making a killing in Iraq and the decision makers who let it happen.

One of a number of glowing reviews, the New York Times says: "Mr. Greenwald compiles a horrifying catalog of greed, corruption and incompetence among private contractors in Iraq, focusing primarily on Halliburton, Blackwater Security Consulting, and CACI International. The movie traces connections between the contractors and the Republican Party, asserts the buying of influence, and explores what it says are questionable accounting systems that encourage an exorbitant waste of taxpayer money. And that's just the first 30 minutes."
