We found knocking on doors and meeting people at shopping centers,fairs,etc. were more effective than the telephone. You could count by the numbers that took your literature with a smile and positive comment who were your supporters. It always is necessary to ask for there vote as well. Metro stops were very effective as well.I also received training as a poll worker and knew what to look for. I think our numbers stopped the shenigans here. We had a great turnout--in my precinct equal to 04.
