Community Food Drive

The Spokane Women's Coalition will have a Press Conference on Thursday, October 27, 2005, to appeal to the area citizens for generous food donations to the area food banks.

The Press Conference will be held at Fire Station 3, 1713 West
Indiana at 9 a.m. All fire stations in the City of Spokane have Food Bank Barrels and citizens will be asked to drop off bags of food at the Fire Stations or other area food banks throughout the region.

Through recent media reports, it is evident that the food banks need more support than they are now receiving so that families have the food they need.
Protein, canned tuna, chili, soup and peanut butter - also cereal, macaroni and cheese mixes, Top Ramen noodles, baby food and formula are currently in high demand.
The food drive will last for several days. Please give if you can.
