Current Affairs Committee - Thinking out loud!

I would sure like to see a group of people willing to write letters to the editor and perhaps an occasional op-ed develop to keep current issues out there in front of the public. Perhaps a committee as such could track the DFA weekly message and make the topic such. I know that I am a little prone to procrastination and if part of a committee (or group of some sort), I would likely be more apt to do it.

A committee or group of say 4 could mean one letter a month from each member, etc. The group could also aid that week's writer with edits and data if requested. I don't even think the group would have to meet hardly at all unless it wanted to.

Perhaps something already exists about this idea(?).
