Reminder of Meeting on Wednesday, Aug 16

Joe Donnelly will meet with us at the Westchester Public Library on 100 Indiana Ave in Chesterton at 7 p.m. tomorrow evening to discuss his campaign to unseat Chris Chocola as District 2 U.S. House of Representatives delegate. Chris has made public statements supporting privitization of social security and he has a strongly pro-business voting record. Joe is an advocate for the people and he states his positions in an unequivocable and persuasive manner. President Bush has flown in to raise huge amounts of money for Chris (who doesn't even live in his district) and he will likely return in October with even larger donations so we need to throw our time and money into this race so the lead which Joe currently enjoys will translate into an election victory. Voter ID is an issue to be addressed in this race too.
Please bring lots of people with you to hear what is going on in South Bend. Three key elections in Indiana could help turn the U.S. House blue and this is the one closest to us. You don't need to live in Donnelly's area to affect the results and to care intensively about what happens here.
