I didn't get a chance to announce the latest DB show at the last meeting, so let me test drive this thing by doing so here ...

 

Just as the weather turns warm and you turn off your television, why not use some of that media-free time to see just a little bit of live media-bashing?

DEMOCRACY BURLESQUE presents SPINNING IN TONGUES: A SHOW ABOUT MEDIA AND THE PUNDITOCRACY.
Featuring MUSIC from KHUPERA TUM, a movie from the 2007 Chicago Filmmakers Teen Summer Camp, food from our friends at the No Exit, and of course good karma generated from our CAUSES CELEBRE: BEYONDMEDIA EDUCATION and FIRST DEFENSE LEGAL AID FUND.
SPINNING IN TONGUES runs on TUESDAYS, June 17, and 24, at the NO EXIT CAFE, 6970 North Glenwood Avenue. Showtime is at 8 p.m., with admission still a (cheap!) $10.
