Ryan Thibodaux

The bio from my blog:

Ryan Thibodaux founded The Higher Pie on December 26, 2002, not coincidentally the day after a Christmas dinner with his extended family.

He was born on May 8, 1981 in Louisiana, lived in Katy, Texas until age 14, and then moved to the famed Napa Valley where he developed a strong affection for wine as a high school student.

Ryan is currently a senior at California State University, East Bay where, for reason he cannot explain, he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Small Business Management which he will almost certainly never put to use. Ryan has also attended Napa Valley College, Chabot College (briefly), and U.C. Davis (even more briefly).

Ryan's fifteen minutes of fame came in 2004 when a photo he took of the Grand Lake Theatre on the opening night of Fahrenheit 9/11 was used by Michael Moore in The Official Fahrenheit 9/11 Reader. For a time Ryan sold T-shirts of the photo, but after about 15 minutes, no one seemed interested.

Ryan currently resides in San Leandro, Ca with his wife Poppy and 5 other housemates in their urban commune. He is a devoted vegan and biodiesel enthusiast. He and his wife have been running their vehicles on Ryan's homemade biodiesel since August, 2005. Ryan's liberal Mother Debbie, conservative (but still loveable) Father Robin, and apolitical kid sister Jena live in Napa.
