I got my start in politics working as the research director for Jim Hightower's radio show in Texas. Later, I was a field director for a successful Congressional campaign in Indiana in the 1990s. I was also a regional volunteer coordinator for Bill Bradley in 2000, and did legal voter protection for Kerry/Edwards in 2004.
