Bush, Big DC Money Pouring in Trying to Save Rubber-Stamp Ryun

In the last week alone, Jim Ryun's cronies in Congress have poured $35,200 into his campaign account. These contributions are an obvious attempt by the current majority to hold onto their power in Washington.

This Sunday, the ultimate Washington insider, President George W. Bush, visits Topeka to campaign for Ryun. In all, hundreds of thousands of DC dollars are pouring into Kansas in a desperate attempt to buy our election.

"While the tickets may be free, taxpayers will pay dearly for the president’s visit to help re-elect Jim Ryun, one of his best rubber stamps in Washington,” KDP Executive Director Mike Gaughan said. “Haven’t hard-working Kansans already paid enough for the failed policies of this administration?”
