Outlaws!!!

I spoke with the staff of the Delonis Shelter located in Ann Arbor, Michigan  this morning at their phone number: (734) 662-2829.  Press 1 on your touch tone phone after the phone is answered by a recording so that you can talk with a staff person yourself.  The situation is that the Delonis Shelter abandoned the homeless on to the streets the morning of March 26, 2007!  The homeless are not to be allowed back into the Delonis Shelter warming center until late fall unless the temperature drops below 20 degrees!  Water freezes at 32 degrees!!  Last night was the first night that the remaining homeless persons who have not been arrested or died were let back into the warming center (they are not given beds and must sleep in chairs).  You observed for yourselves how severe and cold the weather has been since March 26, 2007.  If the temperature only goes as low as 21 degrees the homeless will not be allowed into the Delonis Shelter warming center!!!  This situation is going on everywhere in Michigan that does not have a major city with a rescue mission in it!!!!  Click here for the details of how to attend the next Ann Arbor, Michigan City Council meeting: http://www.ci.ann-arbor.mi.us/citycouncil/index.html  It is evident that Michigan has not developed a uniform homelessness care system and that the homeless are treated as though they are outlaws who do not have any rights!!!!!  Just simply go to the next Ann Arbor, Michigan City Council meeting and demand that this situation gets turned around!!!!!!!!!!
