Don't forget to vote and come to the meeting!

Hey, all! I'm sorry I haven't updated in awhile. Things have been crazy around here.

We have an important primary on Tuesday, and everyone needs to get out and vote.

There's a contested primary for Schwartz's seat with two liberals running, Ream and Strack. Ream has some great points, and Strack has some great points. We haven't endorsed either one, since we couldn't decide as a group, but a couple of us have been phone-banking for Strack, thinking he would do better against whichever Republican wins the primary (he's a vet, he's a forceful speaker, and he's very good on the issues).

There are also a couple of contested primaries for county comissioner. The behind-the-scenes stuff against Cash has several of us rather disgusted with the county party right now (they're attacking him every which way from Sunday while promoting a political unknown who didn't even vote in the presidential caucus). If you are in his district, please vote for Cash.

Our meeting place might have to move. I'm going to contact the county party to see if we still have our meeting there this Thursday from 7-9. If not, I'm working on an alternate location. I should have that set by tomorrow.

Oh, and please volunteer for Granholm if you can. Her office up in Lansing is easy to get to, and they need more hands to help with everything. I was there for a couple of hours last week and couldn't believe how understaffed they were compared to the workload. Her office in Kalamazoo needs help, too, and I will have more info about that at the meeting.
