About Me:

My name is Martin David Kiar and I am the only lifetime Democrat running for State Representative for District 97. District 97 encompasses sections of Davie, Weston, Cooper City, Coral Springs, Parkland, Plantation, Sunrise and Southwest Ranches and I am truly excited for the opportunity to hopefully serve as District 97's State Representative.

I was born and raised in Broward County and I am a 21 year resident of District 97. I am currently an appointed member of the Housing and Finance Authority of Broward County and I am an Assistant Town Attorney and Assistant Municipal prosecutor for the Town of Davie.

My roots in our community have given me a deep understanding of the needs of our area. We are a heavily growing area, dealing with development, the need for greater infrastructure, environmental preservation, and more funding for our public schools. If I am elected I will fight to ensure that we recieve our fair share of state dollars to address the issues that are so important to our community such as school overcrowding and preserving the Everglades.
