Capitol Area Progressives - Great Night!
Capitol Area Progressives - what an excellent evening on Healthcare. The speakers were really well informed and interesting: Sara Rogers from Senator Sheila Kuehl's office, Dr Bill Durston, 3rd Congressional District Democratic Candidate and emergency room physician, and Bill Camp, Executive Secretary Sacramento, Central Labor Council.The film 'The HealthCare Solution: California OneCare' was very informative.
The three way Q&A at the end of the film and presentations worked extremely well and provoked excellent group discussion.Each speaker brought a certain perspective and skill that brought the pieces of the puzzle together – labor, medical and political.
The energy in the room was great. Good fun as well as educational. Well done CAP people!
