Progressive Phil Hare Needs Support

There are opportunities everywhere in Illinois' 17th Congressional District to support Phil Hare's campaign.

The district spans from Rock Island to Galesburg, Canton, Macomb, Quincy, Springfield, and Decatur. Getting out the vote in such a diverse and expansive district requires the help of activist citizens who can create grassroots enthusiasm for a relatively unknown candidate.

Phil worked closely with Lane Evans for over 23 years, and supports many of the same issues, such as: ethanol, mass transit, universal health care, veterans benefits, tough penalties for raiding employee pensions, and the living wage.

His opponent, Andrea Zinga, wants to dismantle critical social programs and defund education, social security, AFDC, and countless others. Additionally, she would not represent the hard-working people of Illinois who struggle to provide for their families.
