The Surge in Iraq

Below is a copy of the message I sent to Peter Roskam (R).  He is my Congressional representative.  Have you sent messages to your representatives and our U.S. Senators?  Let them know of your concerns about Iraq.  Otherwise, how will they know?

On this coming Wednesday night, it has been reported  that President Bush, in definance of the populr will, will call for an increase of troop strength in Iraq.

I most strongly oppose any increase in the number of American troops in Iraq.

I favor the withdrawal of ALL American troops from Iraqi soil no later than March 18, 2007.  Legislation should be passed in both houses of congress that will remove ALL American troops from harm's way in Iraq to that effect.

No more American lives should be sacrificed in a useless, immoral, illegal, and un-American war.  Our presnce has been counter-productive to our safety and prestige as a nation.

I will be actively working for peace in any and all ways that I can.
