Nurses have learned to influence health policy by the practice of perserverance and this is demonstrated throughout history. Nurses are predominantly females and have had to promote change in all facets of politics.

Registered Nurse who is an educator in Missouri. Past President of the Missouri Nurses' Association. Have been active in many political campaigns. Born and raised in bootheel. Educated at Three Rivers Community College, Southeast Mo. State University, University of Central Ark and SIU-Carbondale. Married 30 plus years; have two grown sons.
