What we have been doing wrong

I have been reading quite a few books lately.  It has come to my attention between these books and an old friednd coming out online explaining why he is done that we need to begin taking care of our young.  We can't keep gathering up all of these green wannabe politicians, use them for the election cycle, and throw them away.  We are losing good minds and good hearts doing this.  The republicians have been treating their new and old alike.  They train their young and give them every oppertunity to prosper.  These same people keep winning in PA and it doesn't seem to change.  I have to be frank here, the people that hold local power are getting older and i am worried we will have no one to take their collective place.  Right now this is all just a jumbled of thoughts in my head.  I promise i will work it out and make it readable soon.
