"Takin' to the streets"

Written by: robert svetlik on Dec 22, 2006 8:16 PM EST

Even though the american people have spoken through the ballot that they want this war to end, thick-headed, stubborn, and/or lap dog for cheney does not care to listen. Could we have expected anything else? 350,000 people in washington dc spoke with their feet almost two years ago that this war should end. We now have more support, more evidence, and more conviction that this is the right thing to do.

Demonstrations should begin immediately to show this right wing, neo-fascist regime that the american people shall be heard. We need to show them that this is ultimately, a government "by the poeple", and we need to come out of our apathetic closet and demand that the will of the people not only be heard, but listened to and implemented.

Most of us should know by now that bush does not act alone, but is being manipulated by a very powerful, wealthy and determined right wing conspiracy bent on controlling this government. The tale is between the lines of the legislation written in the past five years, giving corporations more and more access to wealth, court rulings continually tilting decisions to the corporate structure, and denying more and more of our personal and civil rights.

We cannot let this happen. This protest should be about more than just the war. It is the neanderthal mentality that america has some divine right to dictate morality to and force democracy on other countries.

Let's talk it up. Start communications with your church or political group. Let's start a nation-wide collective of organizations that will take to the streets to tell Bush and company         THIS WAR HAS TO END.   You can email me at:  RSVETLO@GMAIL.COM
