Paloma Capanna's voice is needed in our 54th NYS District

Paloma's intellect gives her the means to understand the problems that don't need enumerating here; her creativity gives her the path to help solve those problems; her power of persuasion based on her innate debating skills and her experience in her family law practice give her the power to influence other Senate members to have a positive determinate on those problems with their vote.

As for her opponent, the incumbent Mike Nozzolio, I find it necessary to point out the belief of many ovters in our 54th District that they believe they need to vote for him because MAYBE the next recipient of his earmarks will be THEIR community center or ballfield.  The practice of earmarks in our state and our nation is fiscally irresponsible and looks like a "bribe" for our vote.  His earmarks, coupled with his photo, taken by his photographer "aide" show up every week in our local newspapers as a reminder to voters how "necessary" he is.  If our state were to banish earmarks, the possibility exists that voters would make their decision based on the qualities, abilities, reasoning, ideas and plans of a candidate, not on a nebulous future handout.

Paloma has ideas and plans, with the heart to truly understand people's problems, and the courage and determination to accomplish them.

We desparately need Paloma Capanna to represent us.
