My Interests:

I work between London and the US, as an artist and voluntary sector worker. I enjoy reading, dancing, skateboarding, snowboarding and hanging out with friends and family.

About Me:

I am Mexican-American, from a working class family. I grew up in South Gate, Los Angeles, before my family moved to Moreno Valley where I attended Moreno Valley High School. I graduated from the University of California, Riverside and was a performer with Collage Dance Theatre in Los Angeles (a dance company). I moved to London in 1999 and danced with Spine, and was also funded by London Arts to choreograph, plus other commisions from city councils. I've spent 8 years there, watching the US from the outside, and its a whole different perspective. Now, I'm home for a few months (working on a new piece) and I'm very excited to find a very strong grassroot organisation in my area. Looking forward to meeting others from the progressive movement!
