Updates from the NCGA legislative session
I just finished updating this site, and wanted to point DFA people to it for detailed information on legislative happenings at the state level: you can find extensive reports on the recent NC General Assembly session on Susan Fisher's bloggish new updates page: go to electsusanfisher.com and click "updates." You can sort Susan's posts by issue areas (energy, women's issues, education, for example) or date.
As far as I know there are no other local sites with this kind of detailed reports on the NC House and Senate from a state legislator. I hope it will be a useful source of info on state politics for WNC progressives. Please let us know what you think! Thanks to Susan for making these reports available, and thanks to DFA for helping re-elect my favorite rep to the NC House.
