The Republican Party strategy is to say we need more off-shore drilling. It seems simplistic enough. If we drill more then gasoline prices will come down, right?

WRONG....Here is why....

About the Watershed Issue

Linked to campaigns: Drew Pritt for Lt. Governor

Lake Maumelle provides an abundant supply of drinking water for roughly 400,000 people here in Central Arkansas. My concern is that if we develop on this present source of drinking water, we risk threatening our future sources of drinking water for all of Central Arkansas. Little Rock, more than any other municipality is the greatest user of this source.

One thing I wish to pass is that we limit use of the watershed by placing a maximum capacity of 75,000 gallons per day on all subdivision wastewater lines pumping out of the watershed. I also support the recommendation of the Citizens Protecting Lake Maumelle Watershed to limit a minimum lot requirement of five acres per house in low slope areas and 10 acre lots for houses on high slope areas. Mind you, passing this, would apply to only Little Rock but I would be willing to listen, hold town hall meetings, learn even more, and work with the City Board to become an effective advocate on this issue. I would even be open to finding a way for the City of Little Rock to purchase the property in the watershed to preserve it.

My concern is the time to study this subject is over. We need to take action today to protect this precious resource.

SHAME ON YOU DFA!!!!

Written by: Drew P on Feb 25, 2008 2:16 PM EST

Is Democracy for America doing the work for the Republican National Committee now??? At a time Democracy for America should be focused on recruiting progressive candidates for offices like U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and Governor down to the State Legislature, I am subjected to this "LET THE VOTERS DECIDE" campaign against Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. I am so disappointed in Democracy for America for assuming that since I am a progressive and a member of this group then I automatically support Barack Obama.

I proudly am supporting Senator Hillary Clinton for President for the same reason many progressives are supporting her....because she can win. She has a record of accomplishment and she is NOT the choice of the backroom deals as Ilya Sheman so shadily has referred to her.

SHAME ON DEMOCRACY FOR AMERICA!

Make ARKANSAS 3rd CD, Ground Zero For 2008!

Written by: Drew P on Jan 10, 2008 1:12 AM EST

Republicans are scared....the chickens have come home to roost as they say down south and come November 2008, I believe there will be an tsunami effect for the status quo. Now, I know there are a lot of great candidates running, but there is truly a grassroots candidate who needs your help.

He's married, father of two, businessman, and serving our nation in Iraq. He is decorated a number of times and he's one who used to think he was a Republican till he spoke with General Wesley K. Clark, reviewed his political ideals, and realized he was not a conservative Republican at all.

He still believes in the American Dream. He's talking about health care, but PREVENTATIVE HEALTH CARE and health care for DEVELOPMENTALLY CHALLENGED CHILDREN. These are angles and perspectives not recently considered. He's talking about education, but he's talking about EDUCATION REFORM that is taken from the perspective of teachers and parents, not the bureacrats. He's talking about jobs, but he wants to help restore MAIN STREET STORES and give tax incentives to SMALL BUSINESSES. He also believes that tax incentives and other perks should be for businesses that produce tangible results for the communities that they are in.

Purposely Assasinating A Citizen

Written by: Drew P on Dec 5, 2007 1:48 AM EST

Go ahead and Google "Drew Pritt", and you will see a lot of stuff, but the first thing you will see is a website called Encyclopedia Dramatica. The wonderful freedom of speech that exists in this nation and on the internet has been raped. The web address is : http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/index.php/Drew_Pritt

I asked the people who run the site to take this down. They refused because these tales and absurdities draw more attention to their website. I tried to take it down and I was banned.

Unknown people, with hidden agendas, or maybe a hatred of freedom of speech and people who are different and march to the beat of a different drum are slowly eroding our rights in America. There is this fear of what is not the "norm". Most of all, normally, at least in my case people who don't know me read this and believe this is truth. Its ironic but its the truth. Even sadder is the people who have written it don't know me.

So what am I to do? I tried ignoring it but its getting to be where the people doing it are "winning." Whether its the Swift Boating of John Kerry or the character assasination of progressives by fundamentalists, this is a serious and national condition. Its like McCarthyism but its spreading and its becoming cancerous.

When will enough be enough? Moreover, how to stop this rape of freedom and assasination of the character of someone who dares to be comfortably different?
