Should we try to regulate the reselling of foreclosed mortgage loans?... Would anyone get behind the idea?

I just find it pretty despicable when I read about how  executives from mortgage lenders (who are the cause of the sub-prime mortgage problem) are starting up new companies to buy and resell these loans. If they had not been greedy they would not have sold those loans in the first place, the mea culpa about how they were just trying to help is ridiculous. They sold sub-prime loans to get more people to make payments and the companies could make as much money as possible, so they could resell (and profit from) the loans they should not have made in the first place?..Ridiculous.. Maybe if they could not make more money by reselling the loans, it would keep them from foreclosing.
