DATE CHANGE FOR JULY LINK-UP

Written by: Alyssa Plut on Jul 3, 2006 1:42 PM EDT

Linked to groups: North Seattle DFA

We will be meeting JULY 12TH instead of the 5th at the Shoreline Conference Center. Due to the July 5th Holiday and my recent vacation we decided this would be the best option for this month. Next month we will return to the same day but the place will change as the conference center is being used for a large meeting. We may decide to do another candidate pot-luck or summer BBQ or something like that for August as we have always done one in the past. Anyway, we will meet Wednesday, JULY 12th 7-9 at the CC.

We will continue to discuss John B.'s DFA Training experience in Portland as well as the upcoming primary and the initiatives we will see on our November ballots. As always we will be collecting underwear for Treehouse.

See you all soon,

Alyssa

Update on July Link-Up

Written by: Alyssa Plut on Jun 23, 2006 2:53 AM EDT

Due to the 4th of July Holiday and the Shoreline Conference Center being closed on the 5th, we are going to re-schedule the July Link-up. We will let you know the details, but plan on meeting the 12th of July at the Conference Center, same time and hopefully the same room. I will be out of town until the 30th, but PLEASE let me know if that will either not work or if you have any other ideas. John L. suggested we go ahead and meet on the 5th at either the Shoreline Library or the Lake City CC. If you would prefer that, please let me know. Personally as much as I hate moving meetings, it would help me out to link-up a week later due to our family vacation AND school is now out, which made my life a little more difficult!

Thank you for your understanding,

Alyssa

So we can either meet at my house on the 5th OR we can postpone this months meeting to Wednesday July 12th. Please let me know what you would prefer. I hate to move meetings, but either way that is what we have to do. Another option may be to move it to Thursday the 6th.

Please get back to me,

Darcy Burner Rally at Westlake

As many of you may have heard, our president, George W. Bush, will be coming out to Seattle this Friday to raise money for Dave Reichert. He will only be making campaign stops the most vulnerable seats. This is great news for the Darcy Burner campaign, because we know they are worried about democratic victory in this district. I am sure you have all heard that Eyeman was unable to collect the necessary signatures to get Ref. 65 on the ballet. Please take a moment to send a note of thanks to your governor, senator and congresspersons for passing the Anti-Discrimination Bill which takes effect today--June 7th.

Attend June Link-Up on June 7!

John Boettner just completed the DFA training in Portland and has offered to fill us in on what he learned. So we will spend about an hour talking with John and then the rest of the time I would like to talk more in-depth about our work-groups and where we want to focus our energy, especially since I am seeing more and more Mc-yuck signs around. So please bring underwear for Treehouse, a couple of bucks for the room rental and your thoughts on what we can accomplish this important election year.

Hope to see you next Wednesday,

North Seattle DFA

Link-Up tonight

We will be meeting tonight at the Shoreline Community Center from 7 - 9. We had tentatively planned on having a speaker from Stop the NRA, but that fell through so we are going to wing it. We will dicuss the future of our group and hopefully we will get some good updates from a couple of our working groups. We are still collecting underwear for Treehouse.

Hope to see you tonight,
