DFA happenings: Nov 1 & Nov 2

Hello Folks,

As you might know, Asheville DFA endorsed the following candidates in state and county races:

Doug Jones, Democratic candidate for North Carolina House of Representatives, District 116, http://www.dougjones....

Susan Fisher, Democratic candidate for North Carolina House of Representatives, District 114, http://www.electsusan...

Van Duncan, Democratic candidate for Sheriff of Buncombe County, http://www.vanduncan....

We are fortunate that these exceptional citizens stepped up to be candidates. It is this caliber of candidates that we will depend on to take our country back.

The least we can do is lend them a few hours, right?

Two ways you can pitch in this last week before the election:

1) Come and phonebank. We'll call local democrats and remind them to GOTV for our candidates. For those of you who have never made phone calls to voters it can be quite energizing.

The calls will be scripted so there is little worry about what to say.

Time: Wed. November 1st, 6:30pm to 8:30 pm at Trident Micro Systems in Arden, 2 Trident Drive. The cross streets are Long Shoals and Brevard Rd. (Hwy. 191).

Directions: From I-26 heading East take exit 37 (old exit 6); Turn Right and go over the French Broad River; Long Shoals ends at Brevard Rd. - go thru the light into the Vista Industrial Park

2) "Up Late with the Candidates", a meet and greet at the fabulous Mela Restaurant in downtown Asheville. Our candidates will be there to meet you, answer any questions and build energy for the homestretch. Good food, good fun, good candidates!!

Time: Thursday Nov. 2, 9:30 to 11 pm
Place: Mela Restaurant, 70 N. Lexington Ave.
