I am running for NH State Representative, District 5.
This is my first blog and I was thinking about what I should say. And it came to me, let people know that "I am running for NH State Representative, District 5."
In March, I ran for Town Council in Derry NH, I lost. But, I did earn the local paper's endorsement (derrynews.com). Here is what they said:
“Although the district is fortunate to have three competent candidates, the choice here is Nick Arancio. Inspired to join the race due to the private roads issue, he has shown himself to be more than a one-issue candidate. He is the only council candidate to bring forth fresh ideas, such as restructuring council meetings, new revenue streams and a new way of approaching the budget. He's the breath of fresh air the council needs.”
I had a great time debating the other candidates. I learned a lot and experienced personal growth and that does not happen as often as I would like.
My first speech was made in front of the current Town Council. And that was when I learned that I had a fear of public speaking. I had difficulty reading my own prepared statement. After other residents spoke I went back to speak again. This time I was aware of my fear and pushed my way through. It was still difficult but I noticed an improvement.
When the first debate came up, I made great improvements. And my next debate was even better. I still have issues but expect to improve each time.
My campaign, then and now, is all about ideas. I plan on causing people's jaws to drop. For example, in my last debate we discussed the budget. I explained a complexed issue in my one minute response, and that issue was "the negative affects of institutionalized budgets."
Not one of my competitors, or anyone else present had introduced that issue. Nor do I believe that any one of them would have even thought about it.

I will have a new website up shortly. The new website will be for my run for NH State Representative in District 5. I already purchased the domain name, but have not published the site yet. I should have the site up and running within days. Here is that url:
