About Me:

I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in December 2008 summa cum laude after 2.5 years with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and concentrations in religious studies and speech communications. Currently, I am an intern at the Anti-Defamation League in their Chicago office and will be returning to Champaign in the fall to complete my master’s degree in Political Science with a focus on Civic Leadership. I am a part of a relatively new fellowship program through the UIUC political science department and the Cline Center for Democracy entitled the Civic Leadership Program that offers me an opportunity to complete my current residency with the ADL, special curricular components, mentorship programs, forum and conference participation on campus, and a participate in a policy drafting and implementation practicum experience. Next year I will also serve as a teaching assistant in the Global Studies Program, a Multicultural Advocate for Graduate Housing, and as a co-Chair of the Illinois Student Senate Government Affairs Committee. My past campaign experience includes two campaign internships with my home and my University state representatives, volunteer activities at local campaigns both in Champaign-Urbana and the North Shore of Chicago, and the founding and chairing of the Young Tenth Dems in High School.
