Joe in the New York Times

Written by: Mark Greenfogel on Jul 14, 2008 9:50 AM EDT

I want you to know that our campaign is featured this morning in The New York Times.

The headline:

"Joe Garcia...has put a once-secure Republican seat into play."

"The change in Miami is palpable."

Aileen and I are so grateful for your support.  We could not have done this without you.

I am so proud of the kind of campaign we're running.  A clean, people-powered campaign with a clear purpose:  bringing us together to find common-sense solutions to the challenges we face.

We are making a difference in our community -- like sponsoring a Summer Football Camp for inner-city kids and helping people living with AIDS -- because of your support.

This is the only way we'll create a better South Florida and country -- street by street, block by block, person by person.

I am tired of the partisan Washington bickering that has prevented us from giving tax cuts to middle-class families, getting people off welfare on to good jobs, and caring for our veterans.

It's time to move forward.

I am counting on you, not only to win this election, but to roll-up your sleeves and work with me to rebuild the community we love.

Thank you so much,

Joe
