Time To Challenge Palin

As the campaign moves into the last month, Sarah Palin has become the leader of the McCain campaign. Her attacks against Barack Obama are unfounded and outright lies. But because she has the ear of the media, they resonate in a way that McCain cannot do himself.

Here is how the Obama campaign needs to respond and Joe Biden should be the one to articulate the answer:

1. The Palins have not answered their relationship to the Alaskan Indpendence Party and the press needs to investigate their cozy association. Todd was a member for 7 years and Sarah gave the AIP a warm endorsement in June 2008. The founder of this party wanted to rip the 50th star from the U.S. flag and not be buried with our flag as flying over Alaska. He said that he could never be an American. How can the press and Joe Biden allow Palin to attack Barack Obama and not fight back? The Obama campaign needs to knock them out and AIG is one way to do it.

2. IF Palin/MCCain bring back Rev. Wright, it's time to go to the video of Palin and Rev. Muthee which again has had little press in the U.S. media. This video shows Kenyan Rev. Muthee chasing witches from "Sister Sarah" just three years ago as she voluntarily stood on stage at the Wasilla Assembly of God. This is the same man who literally chased a woman he tagged as a witch in Kenya. See for yourself at YouTube.

The Obama campaign can't allow itself to get into the bind that we saw with Kerry in 2004. They have to be tough and they must fight back.
