Jim Pistorius for Congress in 14th district.

Written by: Daryle M on Oct 16, 2009 3:13 PM EDT

Jim Pistorius, a Progressive Democrat from Aurora IL, is formally announcing his candidacy for Illinois’ 14th district U.S. House of Representatives seat in the February 2, 2010 primary election. The district includes Kane, Kendall, Dekalb, Lee, Whiteside and Henry Counties.

Jim says, “The people of the 14th district have spoken. Now it’s time to have someone in office who will listen. When a king didn’t listen to his people across an ocean; there were some who said now is not a good time to change things.  A group of patriots stood up and said now is the time.”

Jim will operate his campaign as a grassroots candidate. He has begun his petition drive to secure his name on the ballot for the primary election in February 2010. Jim will be that leader we all want and deserve. He will fight for our children to receive a free college education; energy that is not dependent on oil; immigration reform that is fair both to the undocumented resident and to the citizens of this great country. He will champion efforts to bring back jobs to the 14th district; and finally, he will fight to make government open and transparent to all our citizens.

James Pistorius for congress was formed and operates www.jimpistorius.com to present details of Jim’s platform, news and events. We are actively seeking volunteers and campaign staff. Jim is seeking to meet the constituents of the 14th district; to put a name with a face, to be present and available.
