No, it was not game changing, as I explained to Fox. Don't tell me you read with the same comprehension he does?
Carter wanted Ted to stand with him in the the old raised hands photo-op. Instead, Ted patted him on the back and walked off the stage.
does anyone know when the rallies for tribute to Howard Dean are supposed to occur? they were mentioned in the schedule for Mon, Tues, party on Wed. and a ra;;y on Thurs. So far I haven't seen one. Anyone else see one?
More than the airlines fubar'd on the web today -- every place I've been has been slow as Christmas.

If they want to win in November, Democrats have one task to accomplish this week: Snap out of it.
Somehow, tentativeness and insecurity have infected a party that ought to be full of confident swagger. It’s not that Democrats don’t like their odds of winning the presidency and boosting their majorities in both houses of Congress. It’s that they are even bothering to calculate and recalculate those odds.
That’s what you could catch Democrats doing last weekend as they assembled for the convention. We’ll win, they would say, but we just have to do this or Barack Obama just has to do that or the Clintons have to do this, that and the other. And the stars have to align just so.
People, the stars don’t line up any more auspiciously than this. George W. Bush is to presidential unpopularity what Michael Phelps is to aquatic velocity.
Too many Democrats are hand wringing Fraidy-Crats. Instead of obsessing about the disunity meme being pushed by McDesperate's disciples of Rove, and parroted in the corporate newz, they should be realizing that the unrelenting attacks on Obama during the past 6 weeks have been directed at McWeak's own wavering base who have never liked him and must be made to hate Obama in order to get their support.
And after 6 weeks of the ugliest smears in our generation, Olbermann pointed out last night that Obama has actually GAINED on McLame in the "likely voter" polling.
The Republican candidate for president is a wooden, uncharismatic denizen of Washington whose “maverick” image belies the fact that he has supported Bush on practically every big issue. The economy is sagging, the financial system is in crisis and gasoline prices remain punishingly high. In recent polls, as many as eight out of 10 Americans have said the country is on the wrong track. You don’t need a soothsayer to read omens like these.
Since I landed here Saturday night, though, I haven’t heard a lot of Democrats crowing about the terrible whuppin’ they’re about to administer. I’ve heard predictions of victory, yes, but also a lot of questions. Will Hillary Clinton’s die-hard supporters refuse to lay down their arms, even if their champion begs them to? Will an unreconciled Bill Clinton steal the show? Will Obama’s acceptance speech at Invesco Field be so stirring and poetic that the Republicans will slam him again for excessive eloquence?
You just never hear that. But he did according to the WP. He just spent it on rebuilding instead of growing McAuliffe's glass wall with tributes to big donors.
Dean outraised McAuliffe. I thought so, I was right.
"From Jan. 1, 2001, when Terence R. McAuliffe took over the committee, through March 31, 2004, the DNC raised approximately $127 million in funds that could be spent directly on campaign activities. Between Jan. 1, 2005, and March 2008, the DNC raised $190 million, considerably more."

A remarkable story and further testement to the complete leadership vacuum that characterized Terry McAuliffe's reign of terror at the DNC.
What does everyone make the the meeting that took place between Hillary's brother and top advisors in the McCain campaign?
but my take on that much
shades Hillary with my instant disfavor.
Big deal. Not too important to me, but may enliven the Party of hate and bigotry.
Are totally shady characters. They make Billy Carter look like a statesman.
I'm sure they were trying to make some money from the McCain campaign. But the question is, what did Hillary know and when did she know it?
BTW, NBC just showed a color check of five different colored by otherwise identical blazers Madame is choosing among for tonight.

I'm waitin' for the man ...with the goods. I'm jonesin'. Where is he, man!
Obama/Biden'08
I saw a pic of him from another blog at the convention wearing a pair of - you guessed it - PUMAS. Jeezus.
- And Ed Rendell compared Obama to 2 time loser Adelai Stevenson.
By Sitka on Aug 26, 2008 9:01 PM EDTDo these McCreeps think they're fooling anyone?
Cspan1 is The Convention sans high paid corporate hit persons.
There has also been word floating around "out there" that leaders of some of Hillary's big Meet Up groups have also been seen meeting with McCain campaign staffers.
- Goes to prove they wouldn't have stuck with her through the General --
By puddle on Aug 26, 2008 9:39 PM EDTwere just up to no good as far as *our* primaries were concerned, and then wouldv'e gone home. Perfect rePuclicanism, lol!
-there's no place like home.
-communities and geneational home ownership.
-'Cain and the Country Club sect
Energy

-Dems take mantle of Lincoln (wOOt!)
-touch the stars
Warner
-The United States of America
-A FAIR SHOT / not...a long shot
-Bush never really asked the People to stand up ("how can I do my part")
-'Cain is "four more years we can't afford"
i hope he stays in VA. i can barely listen to his speech...
I got a call from the Obama campaign tonight. They are having an organizing meeting Friday afternoon in City Hall in my tiny, Redneck, Repug, rumored to be 3K town. I'm going.
...grand 'ol DNC night at the 'ol convention...they sure won elections. didn't they???
I must have missed why Warner is so popular? Please linda b, fill me in.
-----------
Is it the media or actual events that are taking place about all the Clinton dissent? Because if this keeps up - these folks will not vote for Barack in the hopes of a 2012 shot with Clinton. I am so fed up with hearing about the Clintons. This is Barack's convention for gawd sakes.
on Warner's speech - click - if you can stomach it.
Pimping for 2016 at this time, when winning in 2008 is front and center for every real Democrat, is tacky even for "DLC" Armstrong.
I've been watching Bill Clinton sitting next to a red headed woman. It's very tight quarters but he's totally *in her space*. Hilarious.
I'll take a Schweitzer over a Warner any damn day. Schweitzer 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're not alone, folks. check out the peeps at Daily Kos. They love them some Schweitzer!

I did not think I would ever say this, I think Hillary did great.
Also want to say I think Kucinich was great too.
Thank you Hillary, that was amazing.
Best speech Hillary ever gave. And that color on her was FABULOUS. Of course Bill lit up when she talked about Pres. Clinton. LOL
Thank you, Hillary.
that Brian Schweitzer is the man. Daily Kos is showing him lots of love. Go check it out. 2016 - watch out!!!!!!!!
Tonight's Hillary was the Hillary expected to see throughout the campaign but never did.
But then again, what she did tonight was nothing but words--amazing words. And now she knows just how important words alone can be.
I hope this causes Obama to step up his game because he can't be upstaged at his own convention.
I hope the song/video YES WE CAN is shown/heard at this convention.
Schweitzer was on Ed Schultz last week and said you would be able to tell he was a Western governor because he has cowshit on his boots, but no bullshit in his talk.
I loved Casey's line about McCain not being a maverick, he was a side kick.
It is being reported that Bill Clinton will not attend Obama's speech.

1980 Kennedy Speech Game Changing?
Didn't the game end up with Ronald Reagan digging liberalism's grave?
Hope that Denver 08 is remembered as the year of the resurrection.
