At times stuck up against a (White House) lawn green background reminiscent of that disastrous green jello speech, McCain was sometimes maudlin, sometimes rambling, but always, inevitably, boring. it's unfortunate, really. Set speeches are just not his thing. His strengths lie elsewhere, mostly in an artificial image of a maverick, which really means everyone who's an establishment Republican in DC now despises him even more than they used to after this convention.

... Bull Moose Party ?
Well, if it means Americans will have to listed to her bull for the next few months, I'd rather think most Americans will stick with the donkey this coming Nov.
typo - listed
s/b - listen
(I'm just waiting for the time when McCain is caught off guard, loses his temper and goes bull-listed, err ballistic)
... got in because disaffected Republicans GAVE THEM their floor passes.
This speaks volumes.

... waiting for my breakfast order and looked over at the newstand papers. One of them is The Boston Herald (a conservative rag, nothing like the mainstream The Boston Globe) and on it's cover was in big letters Big Mac, with a picture of a thumbs up smiling John McCain.
Thank God the lunch menu wasn't being served yet -- Big Macs are dry as hell.

I read on KOS that Palin won't be talking to the press, just giving speeches -- how can you run for VP of US and not talk to the press? Seems like that ought to be downright illegal?
