By the way, Dear Dr. Dean said at Demfest that he would be going to Alaskka in a couple of weeks. Haven't heard anything, does anyone have any news?
- The trial for those who enslaved Florida farm workers is over.
By floridagal . on Sep 7, 2008 5:56 PM EDTIt took that great coalition of farm workers in Immokalee, Florida. It took Jimmy Carter and Bernie Sanders getting involved. Unbelievable this could happen in this day and time.
It took outsiders and a worker coalition to bring justice for the enslaved farm workers in Florida
More from Florida...that horrible lawsuit against the DNC just keeps on hanging around and over our heads. When does a lawsuit after losing for over a year become a nuisance suit?
Lawsuit against DNC by Florida activist continues, files "Certificate of Readiness (9/2/08)"
Does anyone have the cell phone through DFA Credo/Working Assets?
I have always thought about doing it, but had a great discount through my company for Verizon. I wonder how the service is.
but not through DFA. I had it before DFA sponsored it. Their service works well although you should know they use Sprint as their carrier. They have been helpful to me when I have had questions about my service or my phone.
I don't know if they're better or worse than any other carrier. I would just rather give my money to them than to Verizon or AT&T.
Plus they just sent me a coupon for a pint of Ben and Jerry's. :-)
what the other side is offering up. We can be very proud of them both.
Keep sending those bucks to Obama and/or to Howard when you can as they are funding smart ads about the differences between our guys and McCain.
... it's Obama/Biden the winning team come 11/04/08.
Does the Canadian media know something ?:

Democrat Obama has edge in race for White House: Harper
<!-- END HEADLINE -->Module body

By The Canadian Press
OTTAWA - Stephen Harper ... thinks Democrat Barack Obama has the edge in the race for the White House.
"I've been following it very closely," the prime minister observed Sunday as he bantered with reporters just before his own campaign plane took off for Quebec City.
Pressed for a personal prediction on the outcome of the U.S. presidential race, Harper at first demurred
..
After a pause, however, he went on to admit: "I've always said it's the Democrats' to lose."
...Asked Sunday whether he'd seen the Republican convention speech of vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin, Harper replied in the negative.
"I went to bed," he said. "I had a campaign to prepare."
classic Brett today
they are totally had if Ike turns their way
FRESNO, California (AP) -- Authorities say they've arrested a man who broke into the home of two California farmworkers, stole money, rubbed one with spices and whacked the other with a sausage before fleeing.
Fresno County sheriff's Lt. Ian Burrimond says 22-year-old Antonio Vasquez was found hiding in a field wearing only a T-shirt, boxers and socks after the Saturday morning attack.
He says deputies arrested Vasquez after finding a wallet containing his ID in the ransacked house.
The farmworkers told deputies the suspect woke them Saturday morning by rubbing spices on one of them and smacking the other with an 8-inch sausage.
Burrimond says money allegedly stolen was recovered.

Da Bears are winning by one point against the Colts. I'll enjoy it while I can
He is reporting that MSNBC is dropping Olbermann and Mathews. I thought Keith signed a contract. WTF? Pls let this not be true.
According to the dev. story David Gregory will take over as anchor for debates and election. You have to be kidding me. Oh MY GAWD. So they're inserting a tool and they kept the racist Buchanan.
I should have been more specific...
I think Brokaw and Scarborough had something to do with this. I'm just sick.
MSNBC is having an identity crisis, from what I have read. They just gave Rachel Maddow her own show. Do they think she is less liberal than Olbermann or Matthews? Of course I wouldn't call Matthews liberal. He just goes with the thrill up his leg, no matter who is causing it.
Anyway, they won't be able to stifle Rachel. She doesn't need them badly enough to let them stifle her.
So, it's okay to have a racist (Buchanan) and a bully (Scarborough) who are both rightwingers but it isn't okay to have left-leaning anchors? Did you all catch Scarborough dress down Shuster in front of the world?
The rightwing just won this little battle.
Well, Gregory lost his show, and is being replaced by Maddow. so, we have two reasons, instead of just one(Olbermann) to watch MSNBC now.
tWe're evidently not as assertive or determind as the religious right. They've probably been hammering away at MSNBC for months.
I believe CNN had wanted Keith but he re-signed with MSNBC - I wonder if he regrets that.
and go and volunteer for obama. the media is nothing anymore.
go for it . obama/biden.
while the media is crying, we are winning with the people on the ground.
tell us your stores after you work for obama.
msnbc is not important folks. we are.
