Montana's At Large Congressional District
Rob Quist is a musician, small business owner, sportsman, and father, is a born-and-raised Montanan running as the Democratic nominee for U.S. House to replace Republican Congressman and Trump appointee Ryan Zinke. A political outsider and first-time candidate, Quist is running a populist campaign to fight for Montana’s working families, stand up against money in politics, and bring genuine grassroots voices to Washington. As the leader and cofounder of the renowned Mission Mountain Wood Band, he toured nationwide for 12 years, charting the Billboard Top 100, and was eventually appointed as Montana’s cultural ambassador, spreading Montanan values of hard work, community, and fairness around the world. He believes that in Montana, “you shouldn’t have to be a millionaire to hunt, fish and hike in our great outdoors, get a good education, or be able to support your family.” A longtime community advocate, Quist served three terms as a member of the Montana Arts Council and a spokesman for the Montana Food Bank. His opponent in the May 25th special election is a New Jersey Republican billionaire and failed gubernatorial candidate; a Republican loss would be devastating blow for Trump and Trump Republicans around the country. Quist lives with his wife Bonni on their horse ranch in Creston, MT.
