North Carolina State House of Representatives, District 51
Jason Cain joined the Army when he realized he was going to fail out of college during his senior year. Nine years later he completed his undergraduate degree in US Government by taking evening classes as a single father and online course from Iraq when his daughter was staying with her grandparents. He is now working on his 3rd graduate degree and teaches political science in the community college system. He served in the military, federal government and state government. He is passionate about making government work for all Americans, not just those who have been given access and privilege by birth or circumstance. He is passionate about ending the practice of political and racial gerrymandering. With the 2020 census and coronavirus pandemic upon us, he knows that by utilizing his background, education, and network, he can bring justice and equality to the electorate of both Sanford and all of the people of North Carolina.
