Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners
Nicole is a Social Worker, community advocate and proud Gwinnett resident. Nicole is running to be the next Chair of Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners because she can best represent the voice, values, and needs of our next generation. She brings two decades of community-based experience in the public and non-profit sector with the bulk of that in Gwinnett County directly serving the people. She is committed to working together to improve the lives of all Gwinnett residents and businesses to ensure a healthy community and a prosperous economy.
Gwinnett County is the 2nd most populous county in the state of Georgia. It is the most diverse county in the entire state and in the south east. The Nation will look like Gwinnett County over the next 10 years. Every decision that is made from today moving forward will catalyze how other communities across the nation will plan for growth, leverage our strengths and drive policies that move our county forward. It is critical that we have the right person at the helm.
Nicole is running for Chair because she has spent more than a decade driving decisions that improve the county and the wellbeing of its residents. She is a part of Gwinnett’s success story. As a young professional, a community leader and a woman of color, not only does Nicole represent the changing demographics, she has a pulse on that change and what that means to how future decisions will be impacted. Having recently served as the Community Outreach Director as an appointee of the Gwinnett Board of Commissioners, Nicole is the only candidate who has local, regional and county-wide government experience. She has the passion and commitment to serve and that is demonstrated in her work as a social worker, community builder, and advocate. Elections are about choices. Being that women of color are grossly underrepresented in leadership positions, Nicole was inspired to step up and serve in a greater capacity and offer an alternative to the status quo.
