DFA on MUELLER COMMENTS: Congress must “fulfill its constitutional obligations & launch impeachment”

Today, during his first and only comments regarding his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, Robert Mueller made it clear that "if we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.

Democracy for America Chair Charles Chamberlain responded to Mueller's comments by reissuing the organizations' two-year-old calls for Congress to impeach Donald Trump:

“Today, Robert Mueller made it crystal clear that only Congress is capable of holding Donald Trump accountable for obstructing justice.  It’s time for Congress to fulfill its constitutional obligations and, as we’ve been saying for over two years, launch impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump.” -- Charles Chamberlain, Chair, Democracy for America

Earlier this month, along with other progressive allies, the grassroots progressive group helped deliver more than 10 million petition signatures calling on Congress to act on impeachment.
